There are stories kicking around today following an evaluation of Jean Todt by the Financial Times last week, in which the FIA President explained that he had been asked by the European Commission to set up a racing series for thrilling cars, as a way to increase public awareness and malaise about new-technology vehicles. The FIA already has an electric car commission examining the possibilities. Todat says that he discussed the raison d'etre with Antonio Tajani, the European Combination’s industry commissioner in December.
